Privacy Policy
Effective September 15, 2026
Bechamel Consulting LLC, doing business as Bechamel CPG ("Bechamel," "we," "us"), runs bechamelcpg.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
What you give us. If you request our Beginner's Guide to Retail or contact us through the site, we collect your name and email address, plus anything you choose to write in a message. If you tick the box to receive promotions and offers, we record that too.
What the site collects on its own. Our site is hosted on Squarespace, which logs standard technical data — IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring site, and timestamps — and sets cookies needed to run the site and to give us aggregate visitor statistics. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other third-party ad trackers.
How we use it
- To send you the guide or reply to your message.
- To send occasional emails about Bechamel's services, if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any of them with one click.
- To understand, in aggregate, how people use the site so we can improve it.
- To keep the site secure and comply with the law.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers that make the site work: Squarespace (hosting, forms, and email delivery) and Google Workspace (our email). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Cookies
Squarespace sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for the site to function and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies that tell us which pages get visited. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though a few things may behave differently.
How long we keep it
Form submissions stay in our records for as long as we have a business reason to keep them — typically while we're in touch with you and for a reasonable period after. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a suppression list so we don't email you again.
Your choices
- Marketing email: unsubscribe using the link in any email, or write to us.
- Access, correction, deletion: email us and we'll show you what we hold, fix it, or delete it. Residents of states with privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Virginia, and others) can exercise those rights the same way. We don't discriminate against you for doing so.
- Do Not Track: the site doesn't respond to browser DNT signals, because we don't track you across other sites in the first place.
Children
The site is for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we'll delete it.
Outside the U.S.
We're based in the United States and our providers store data here. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we use information you've already given us will be flagged on this page or by email.
